Thats too bad. Many developers have said that the games on the 360 will be superior to the console you choose to wait for. And then there are devs that say it will be the same on both systems. So you are putting down a system that 90% of developers say is equal or better "Game wise" than the ps3. Unless you just want a blu ray player. Then I can understand you waiting. 600 dollars for a blu ray player is cheap indeed.
Told me that the hype for the ps3 has died down considerably. He said no one even asks anymore about the games or if they can pre order. He said Madden, Saints Row, and Dead Rising have been selling in mass amounts along with new 360's. Sony's over confidence is killing it slowly and painfully. People just don't care anymore. And with it being over half a grand its easier not to care and shrug it off.

My cousin works at EB games and he said there has been a rush of people coming in to buy Saints Row and an xbox 360. Thats what you call a system seller. Its the next big thing to gamers universally. Any game that can Knock of Madden is "Huge". Talk about it being a GTA rip off all you want. Its a hell of a game and has recieved high 8's and 9's across all review sites. Even Enchanted Arms made the top 10 sales charts across all platforms. People love those Japanese style RPG...
I don't know what to say about the source or quality of those screen shots you showed of Gears of War. But Us 360 fans have seen it running on xbox live. In person. And even the high res screen shots don't do it justice when its being played on an hd tv. So you can show screen shots. We have actually seen gameplay on the 360 via xbox live download buddy. You can downplay it and show screen shots from who knows what source but all the 360 gamers with access to xbox live have witnessed it...
Vista is supposed to be delayed. Its the new windows format for the world. It needs to be perfect and has no competition. So MS should take its time and put out a perfect product for then entire world to use. I'm just hyped about "Live Anywhere". Thats the next big thing.
Gears of War blew the socks off of editors and journalist at E3 behind closed doors. Just wait and see when it gets released. Your views of it will change. And Gears of War uses the ingame engine for all its cut scenes. On xbox live you can download a video of them playing it. Its stunning to say the lease. My guess would be 50 to 100 thousand hd dvd add ons by the end of the year. But it could be more or less. Microsoft has been planning this for a while. And they also understand that there isn't a big market for hd dvd or blu ray movies yet. Only 5 % of consumers own an HD tv. So if there are 10 million 360's sold by the end of the year. 5% of that amount is 50,000. Makes sense. Jumping into the next gen format should be a gradual transition....and it should be a choice. Just when Sony will start to get ps3's out in decent amounts they will be hit with the launch of Halo 3. I don't think MS could have planned it any better.
1. Ps3 mass shortages coupled with "Gears of War".
2. Ps3 gets on their feet and attempts to launch worldwide coupled with "Halo 3".
Sure they are both first person shooters. But there is an amazing amount of hype behind those two games.
